The Species, Background, and God choices are all mandatory. You must be worshipping one of the gods listed above before entering Lair, Orcish Mines, the Vaults or Depths, unless this isn't possible in which case you must worship them as soon as you can. Don't use faded altars (except in challenges where you can choose any god), and don't do anything to lose your religion unless otherwise specified.
NOTE: Except for Beogh, Ignis, Jiyva and Lugonu, an altar for the other gods will ALWAYS show up by D:10.
This challenge's bonus 1 was changed in order to test future CCSDT bonuses. The original challenge had as Bonus 1: "Don't worship any god. (This overrides the rule that you have to worship a god by Lair/Orc/Depths.)" You can still do that if you wish...instead of the new Bonus 1.
Choose one option:
a. Train only Short Blades for weapon skills. This also means no training UC, but you can train Fighting. You can still use other weapons.
b. Train either Maces & Flails or Staves to level 14. You can also train and use whichever other weapon skills you want, with this option.
With either option you can still train Throwing but not Ranged Weapon.
Always have Hexes as your highest skill, once you have any skills higher than level 8. If another skill gets higher, train only Hexes until it's the highest again.
Be wearing dragon scales, of any type except steam dragon, at the time of your morgue. Additionally you must wear dragon scales onwards from XL 22 or when you enter Zot, whichever comes first; again no steam dragon scales here, but it can be different types of scales.
Conducts are worth +5 points each, to a maximum of half your score from milestones, rounded down. (So if you achieve 4 milestones (20 points) you can earn up to 10 points from conduct bonuses.) Small mistakes in following conducts will usually be forgiven.
Find a rune before reaching experience level 17.
Win before you reach XL25.
Bonus challenges are worth one star each, similar to banners in Crawl tournaments. Small mistakes will usually be forgiven.
The main way to score points. +5 points each, and can be done in any order.
