Set 5 Week 3 : Terence the Veteran

A veteran of a war against the armataurs' elephant-riders. He has recently retired to make a new home in the dungeon.

The Species, Background, and God choices are all mandatory. You must be worshipping one of the gods listed above before entering Lair, Orcish Mines, the Vaults or Depths, unless this isn't possible in which case you must worship them as soon as you can. Don't use faded altars (except in challenges where you can choose any god), and don't do anything to lose your religion unless otherwise specified.

NOTE: Except for Beogh, Ignis, Jiyva and Lugonu, an altar for the other gods will ALWAYS show up by D:10.

Cosplay conduct points

1. Skills

Get any skill that you start with at skill level 0 up to skill level 16. (This does not apply to Unarmed Combat.)

2. Branch

Purchase an item from Orc:2 before entering Lair. The item, or the location of the shop on Orc:2, do not matter; if you worship Gozag you can even open a shop on Orc:2 and buy something from there.

3. Ziggurat

Reach at least Zig:5 in a Ziggurat. It helps to have some blink scrolls in case you get unlucky.

Conducts are worth +5 points each, to a maximum of half your score from milestones, rounded down. (So if you achieve 4 milestones (20 points) you can earn up to 10 points from conduct bonuses.) Small mistakes in following conducts will usually be forgiven.

Bonus challenges

1. With Reckless Abandon

Worship exactly three different gods in your game, according to the following criteria:

• Abandon your first god choice before entering the Vaults or Depths. Abandon your second god before reaching XL27. Don't abandon your third god.

• After switching from your first or second god, you must mollify that god before abandoning your current god, except with Ru. For Ely/Zin/TSO, this means you must convert to a god that they hate. (Dith/Kiku/Lugonu/Mak/Yred, plus Jiyva/Xom for Zin.)

• You much reach 6* piety with all three gods, except:

  • Sif Muna: only 5* piety is required.

  • Gozag, Uskayaw, Xom: gain at least 8 XLs after following them if they are your first god choice, or 4 XLs if second choice, or 1 XL if third. Ignore partial levels when you first follow them: going from XL26 at 99% to XL27 still counts as gaining 1 XL.

You complete the bonus challenge when you reach 6* piety (or equivalent) with your 3rd god, and your 1st and 2nd are mollified.

2. Shaded but not jaded

Pick your first god from a faded alter...and win the game. In Trunk, a faded alter is usually found on D:1 or D:2. If you do not find a faded alter then choose between one of the 1st three altars you find (see).

Bonus challenges are worth one star each, similar to banners in Crawl tournaments. Small mistakes will usually be forgiven.

Milestones

• Reach XL3.
• Enter Lair, Orc, or Depths.
• Reach the bottom of D, Lair, or Orc.
• Collect your first rune.
• Find the entrance to Zot. (Just using magic mapping doesn't count.)
• Collect your third rune.
• Win the game.

The main way to score points. +5 points each, and can be done in any order.
