Set 11 Week 2 : Norbert the Warrior

A skilled warrior, looking to further develop his reputation as a great slayer of monsters. Be warned: he defines 'monster' rather more liberally than most dictionaries. [Norbert was removed in 0.8]

The Species, Background, and God choices are all mandatory. You must be worshipping one of the gods listed above before entering Lair, Orcish Mines, the Vaults or Depths, unless this isn't possible in which case you must worship them as soon as you can. Don't use faded altars (except in challenges where you can choose any god), and don't do anything to lose your religion unless otherwise specified.

NOTE: Except for Beogh, Ignis, Jiyva and Lugonu, an altar for the other gods will ALWAYS show up by D:10.

Cosplay conduct points

1. Shields

Always have Shields as your highest skill, when you have any skill higher than skill level 8. (Only base skill levels apply.) Your Shields skill has to be at level 8 or higher to qualify for this conduct.

2. Armour

Don't wear any dragon scales.

3. Evocations

Don't train Evocations higher than skill level 6.

Conducts are worth +5 points each, to a maximum of half your score from milestones, rounded down. (So if you achieve 4 milestones (20 points) you can earn up to 10 points from conduct bonuses.) Small mistakes in following conducts will usually be forgiven.

Bonus challenges

1. Monster Manual

Kill at least 7 of the following monsters: The Lerneaen Hydra (including undead varieties), The Royal Jelly, Tiamat, The Serpent of Hell, the unique Lords of Hell, the unique Pandemonium Lords, a Seraph (only one counts), random Pandemonium Lords (only one counts).

(These are all the double-tile monsters in the game.)

2. Worth the Weight

Pick up the first 8 giant clubs and/or giant spiked clubs you see, and never drop them. This effectively limits your inventory to 44 spots. You can inscribe them with !d to prevent dropping them accidentally.

Bonus challenges are worth one star each, similar to banners in Crawl tournaments. Small mistakes will usually be forgiven.

Milestones

• Reach XL3.
• Enter Lair, Orc, or Depths.
• Reach the bottom of Dungeon, Lair, or Orc.
• Collect your first rune.
• Find the entrance to Zot. (Just using magic mapping doesn't count.)
• Collect your third rune.
• Win the game.

The main way to score points. +5 points each, and can be done in any order.
