Trunk Tournament for trunk v0.33 Week 1 : Terpsichore

A spectre of unearthly beauty, dancing through the air without stopping to rest or take a bow. (Note: Terpsichore was considered for inclusion in 0.8, and was briefly encounterable in trunk.)

Terpsichore says nothing.

The Species, Background, and God choices are all mandatory. You must be worshipping one of the gods listed above before entering Lair, Orcish Mines, the Vaults or Depths, unless this isn't possible in which case you must worship them as soon as you can. Don't use faded altars (except in challenges where you can choose any god), and don't do anything to lose your religion unless otherwise specified.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Except for Beogh, Ignis, Jiyva and Lugonu, an altar for the other gods will ALWAYS show up by D:10.
- Small mistakes will likely NOT be forgiven unless they are minute. (If you are unsure please ask ASAP if you are forgiven in our CC Discord linked above.)

Special Rule or Notes

The Poltergeist lore: ( see http://crawl.chaosforge.org/Poltergeist for the full lore and stats )

  • Poltergeists are undead spirits who delight in causing trouble for the living. Completely incorporeal, they interact with the physical world by possessing small objects and making them fly through the air. They can use this to fight with weapons as well as the living do, as well as gain the protective benefits of many different hats, boots, gloves, and cloaks at once, though body armour is too large for them to manipulate in this fashion. At higher levels of experience, they can even control these possessed objects at a distance from time to time, harassing their foes with a barrage of unruly armour.

From the wiki entry: http://crawl.chaosforge.org/Terpsichore

  • At XL 13, they gain the second rank of the Formless mutation, which grants them the Cacophony ability to animate their equipped auxiliary armour into haunted armour allies (one for each piece of auxiliary armour). These allies will not stray more than 2 tiles from the player, and their attacks may daze, drain or confuse their targets. The ability has an experience-based cooldown.

Cosplay conduct points

1. Magic

Cast no spells from the Summoning, Forgecraft, or Necromancy schools unless they are also of the Hexes school.

2. Hexes

Have Hexes as your highest skill (with the exception of Stealth which can be higher or lower as you please) whenever you have any skill higher than 8.0

3. Armour

At some point during your run, wear only auxiliary armour of a single type (ie. cloaks/scarves or helms or boots or gloves) in all 6 aux slots except for the Shield slot. Scarves and cloaks count as one type, and hats and helmets count as another set. Please take a screenshot and post it in CC discord's #cc-tournaments text channel or upload to imgur.com, and then link either one in your CCTT run submittal. (You'll also need to do this for Bonus#1 if you chose to do it.)

Conducts are worth +5 points each, to a maximum of half your score from milestones, rounded down. (So if you achieve 4 milestones (20 points) you can earn up to 10 points from conduct bonuses.)

Bonus challenges

1. “They’re here...”

Enter the 3rd floor of the Tomb of the Ancients for the first time with only 1 type of armour in Aux slots (like Conduct #3) and immediately use the cacophony ability. There is no requirement to get the gold rune. In order to prove you have done this, press the shift-e keys and provide a screenshot like you did in Conduct #3.

  • Important Note: Make sure you have the Cacophony ability available to use and not on cooldown before you enter Tomb:3 or you cannot get this bonus.
2. Poltergeist of the Zeitgeist

Play the game as a Hexslinger and win before reaching XL25!

Bonus challenges are worth one star each, similar to banners in Crawl tournaments.

Milestones

  • Reach XL3.
  • Enter Lair, Orc, or Depths.
  • Reach the bottom of Dungeon, Lair, or Orc.
  • Collect your first rune.
  • Find the entrance to Zot. (Just using magic mapping doesn't count.)
  • Collect your third rune.
  • Win the game.

The main way to score points. +5 points each, and can be done in any order.
